From connection to collaboration: New activities in B2B Matchmaking

”Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.” With Finnpartnership’s B2B Matchmaking service, this is exactly what we do: We help companies in the developing markets come together with Finnish partners.

Our B2B Matchmaking database contains profiles of 200 companies in developing markets that wish to find a Finnish partner – either for starting a joint business locally or to export their products. Each month, you can find the newest additions in our newsletter and social media channels. We research suitable Finnish companies to introduce those companies to – and if all the pieces fit, we facilitate an online meeting for them.

This year we have introduced new event formats exclusively for “our” matchmaking companies. The “Doing business with Finns” webinars provide insights into Finnish business culture and give the participants practical tools for finding potential business partners in Finland. The first session took place in March, and another one is scheduled for August.

New are also the sectoral B2B Matchmaking webinars where companies in our database from a specific sector meet with Finnish companies to kick-start business partnerships. We launched this concept with the agricultural sector in April and are currently inviting companies in the metal production sector to join the event on 22 September.

Besides these virtual formats, we are active on the ground: In June we took Finnish digital educational companies to Ghana and forestry and wood-related companies to South Africa and Tanzania. And now we are inviting Finnish companies to circular economy-focused events in Peru and Colombia in November.

In addition to finding new partners through the B2B Matchmaking database and our events, Finnish companies can also benefit from the financial grant to identify partners.
