The company is specialized in processing beekeeping products, especially natural honey, and avocados. The company is searching for a Finnish investor or trade intermediary to enter new markets.

Hills of Nature Ltd is currently looking for an investor to expand their current facilities and increase production capacity through the smart bees project. It will focus on multiple areas, all leading to the growth of the industry. The project aims to reduce post-harvest losses for farmers through purchase and aggregation, including processing, storage, packaging, and distribution of fruits and honey.

Further, focus is to be placed on access to market information for decision making, create alliances with farmer organizations, trade associations and private companies for access to technologies and markets. The aim is to accelerate exports of horticulture and beekeeping products and ensure more intra-regional trade, expand the ability of farmers and entrepreneurs to pursue economic opportunities. Of particular focus is to facilitate financial inclusion and access to financial facilities for the undeserved segment of the Rwandan society. A potential partner has the opportunity of contributing to both improved prodict quality, profits, and improving farmer livelihoods.

Markets and customers

The customers so far have been from the local market together with exports to East African markets, e.g. Kenya.
