Finnpartnership provides Business Partnership Support for projects in Ukraine in accordance with normal application procedures. The best way to learn how to apply for the funding is to attend the monthly application workshop.
Since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine has had a special status: for projects in the country, the financial grant is 85% of the approved project costs for all companies. With a minimum funding of €15,000 and a maximum of €400,000, Business Partnership Support can help a company to identify local business partners, pilot technology or train local staff, for example.
Finnpartnership already supports around 20 projects of Finnish companies in Ukraine. Both large companies and smaller ones, e.g. expert organisations, have received Business Partnership Support.
Finnpartnership helps to share the risks in the early stages of a business. Funding opportunities for the next steps are vital for companies. Major European donors such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) all offer suitable and accessible opportunities. Under the Global Gateway campaign, Finnpartnership can also help the Finnish companies it supports to connect with donors. A virtual kick-off meeting is organised for companies that have received Business Partnership Support. At this meeting, the grant recipient can already express their interest in further funding, and Finnpartnership can try to help find the right contacts and initiate discussions.
