A good local business partner many times holds a critical role for success on developing markets. Finnpartnership Business Partnership Support is granted for projects where the Finnish company aims to establish a subsidiary or joint venture, or a long-term licensing, franchising, subcontracting or service agreement on the target market, or to initiate imports to Finland. Prior to application submission, Finnpartnership can assist in the identification of a potential local partner based on the specific needs of the applicant company and its project.

The service benefits from Finnpartnership’s regional coordinators in Africa and Asia as well as Finland’s embassies on developing markets. The service covers the following markets: Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia), Asia (Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Lao, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Vietnam), Europe (Ukraine) and Middle East (Iran).

The service includes three steps: 1) Initial discussion with Finnpartnership, allowing the Finnish company to present the planned project, 2) Review with Finnpartnership / Finnish embassy, after which the market is screened for identifying a suitable partner candidate, 3) Digital meeting between the Finnish organisations and the potential partner.
