Finnpartnership paves the way for Finnish companies to EU projects and investments in developing countries
Finnpartnership will launch a Global Gateway funding round and advisory service in early 2023. The aim of the campiagn is to support 15 Finnish companies start business in the target markets over the next two years, with the project including a company’s own pilot or reference project, funded by Business Partnership Support from Finnpartnership. The target countries are Kenya, South Africa, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. The amount of the financial grant depends on the target country and the size of the applicant company (e.g. 50-70% available for SMEs in all countries). The size of the campaign projects ranges from around €100 000 to €300 000.
Through the referral project, on-the-spot advisory and network support provided by Team Finland, the companies can access larger EU-funded packages, other international development funding, or business consortia implementing projects. Through its newsletter and other Team Finland partners, Finnpartnership communicates about upcoming opportunities in the target countries and those in the pipeline, which will open up new markets for businesses. In early 2023, digitalisation opportunities will be in focus. The campaign will follow the conditions of Business Partnership Support, but will be accelerated by a ready-to-use project template.
