Call for Proposals open for digital social innovations in Africa

A private sector Call for Proposals for digital social innovations has opened as part of the Data Governance in Africa Initiative. The aim of the Call is to encourage the use of data across borders and create social value through data-driven Digital Social Innovations (DSIs) in Africa’s digital space.

The Call is open until 4 August 2024 and aims to support 10 scalable, data-driven DSIs that leverage data analysis and technology to create innovative products and services. Examples include initiatives addressing data-driven e-health, digital inclusion, climate change, financial inclusion, connectivity, and governance.

Offering:

  1. Tailored investment readiness training: Enhance your business model for sustainability and profitability.
  2. Mentorship: Connect with experienced professionals in Europe and Africa for guidance.
  3. Matchmaking & Networking: Promote your project at industry events and build partnerships with European and African partners.

Eligibility:

  • The lead applicant needs to be a start-up or SME from one of the following countries: South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia, Namibia, Kenya, or Senegal.

The Call is part of Data Governance in Africa Initiative, a programme supported by European Commission, Germany, Finland, Belgium, France and Estonia.
