Modular warehousing for humanitarian impact – pitch and partner with UNHCR
The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) is looking for Finnish companies and organisations to develop modular warehousing systems in Chad. Join to hear more and present your solutions to the UNHCR in a webinar on 3 March 2026 at 10-12.
UNHCR manages one of the world’s largest humanitarian supply networks. Warehousing is central in the emergency operations, ensuring the rapid delivery of relief items to displaced populations.
However, many current warehouse structures are temporary, imported, and carbon-intensive. To respond to these challenges, UNHCR is looking for Finnish partners to design, pilot, and test green, modular warehousing systems in Chad.
Besides piloting technologies and business models in Chad, successful pilots can generate scalable reference models that could be replicated across UNHCR operations.
At the webinar, each Finnish company and organisation gets to pitch their solutions directly to the UNHCR representatives. Following the presentations, UNHCR will choose suitable partners to initiate the pilots.
To boost the collaboration, Finnish companies can apply for Finnpartnership’s Business Partnership Support to pilot with the UNHCR or to co-develop solutions with local partners.
Who should join
The UNHCR is seeking to partner with Finnish companies, organisations as well as consortia that provide solutions or services such as:
- modular construction systems, prefabrication technologies, or lightweight structural solutions;
- innovative construction methods, components, or services that can be adapted to low resource or fragile settings;
- training, skills transfer, and capacity building;
- monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Further details about the specific challenges and needs in Chad can be read HERE.
