What do these funding instruments offer?
NOPEF – Nordic Project Fund
– Supports Nordic SMEs expanding beyond the EU and EFTA region.
– Funding covers feasibility studies for international investments, pilot projects, and demonstrations.
– Eligible applicants: Nordic SMEs specializing in green technologies or solutions.
– NOPEF can cover 50% of feasibility study costs, up to €50,000.
– Funding is provided as an interest-free conditional loan, which can later be converted partly or fully into a grant.
Finnpartnership – Business Partnership Support
– Helps Finnish companies enter emerging markets.
– Funding covers partner identification, market research, feasibility studies, piloting, staff training, innovation work, and solution development.
– Eligible applicants: Finnish companies of all sizes across various sectors.
– Grant share depends on company size and target country (30–70%), with a maximum of €400,000 per project.
EEP Africa – Clean Energy Project Support
– Supports early-stage projects in 17 countries in Southern and Eastern Africa.
– Eligible applicants: private companies and social enterprises registered in any country.
– Projects must demonstrate strong local market knowledge and a viable solution (MVP).
– Typical sectors: energy, agriculture, transport, healthcare, education, water, and sanitation.
– Funding ranges from €200,000 to €500,000, with a minimum 30% co-financing requirement.
