UNIDO invites Finnish food industry packaging technology companies to participate in developing Vietnam’s fruit product value chains.

Currently, packaging of tropical fruits is a major bottleneck for Vietnam’s export growth. Despite significant export potential, the packaging industry lags behind in efficiency, quality, and environmental sustainability, including recyclability.

Finnpartnership will organize an SDG Booster event on February 24, 2026, focusing on developing tropical fruit value chains. Packaging technology will be one of the key themes.

Register now for the hybrid meeting on December 12

Discussions will begin already in December when Finnpartnership’s regional coordinators from Hanoi visit Finland.

On Friday, December 12, from 9:00 to 10:30, we will host a hybrid meeting at Finnfund’s premises (Porkkalankatu 22A) and Microsoft Teams for Finnish packaging companies.

During the event, we will hear about the challenges in the fruit industry in Vietnam related to packaging. In addition, we will present Finnpartnership’s funding opportunities, which can cover 50–75% of project costs, up to €400,000.
