Finnpartnership received a total of 11 Business Partnership Support applications for projects in Ukraine last year. This was the fourth highest number of project applications to a target country, while Vietnam, Kenya and Somalia topped the list with the most applications. Projects in Ukraine are focused on sectors such as security, education, construction, and metal as well as information technology.

Finnish organisations have been actively in contact with Finnpartnership regarding Ukraine, with contacts coming in almost daily. Company-specific project advice is provided on an ongoing basis where possible, but all applicants are initially encouraged to participate in the virtual application workshops offered every month.

Finnish companies interested in doing business in Ukraine can benefit from Finnpartnership’s financial grant. The amount of Business Partnership Support for projects in Ukraine is 85% for SMEs and large companies of the eligible project costs. The financial grant can help a company to identify local business partners, pilot technologies or train local staff, for example. For more information on Business Partnership Support, please visit Finnpartnership’s website or participate in the next virtual application workshop, organised on 15 February – register here.
