04.08.2023

Is your company establishing itself in Namibia or are you interested in business opportunities in the country? The EU-Namibia Business Forum on 24-25 October will provide an opportunity to learn more about local energy and mining business and EU-supported projects and investments in Namibia.

Namibia is the first African country with which the EU has established a strategic partnership on critical raw materials and green hydrogen value chains. The country has significant mineral reserves and is one of the most favourable countries for the production of green hydrogen. A roadmap setting out the next steps of the partnership will be unveiled at the Business Forum, held in Brussels. In addition to energy and mining, the event will also feature the logistics and transport sectors.

Registration to the Forum is per invitation only, but the panel sessions and presentations can be followed through a stream on the event website.

Aleksi Salo, Team Manager of GTK’s Mineral Economy Solutions unit, will take part in a panel discussion held on 25 October, with a theme “Unlocking Value: Joint Ventures, Partnerships, and Investment for Beneficiation in CRM”. In the panel, government and industry leaders and experts delve into the potential for creating value through collaborative efforts in mining, refining and manufacturing. By exploring joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic investments, the discussion aims to uncover opportunities for enhanced beneficiation and value-added strategies that can drive sustainable growth across these critical sectors.
