Finnpartnership programme will continue with largely the same and partly extended services for the option period 2025-2027. Business Partnership Support funding and B2B Matchmaking service with target country events will continue in 2025 for most part in the same way as before. There will be some minor changes to the conditions of the financial grant, and a completely new project type focusing on innovation funding will be opened for Finnish organisations to apply. Finnpartnership will share more information on these in a separate send-out, which will be published on 17 December. Stay tuned!

Finnpartnership programme met or exceeded all its objectives for the 2022-2024 programme period. Over the three years, the average size of projects has increased from around €50,000 to over €130,000, the number of applications has increased by around 45%, and private sector projects have been brought more clearly in line with other organisations using development funds through a project-specific performance framework and associated reporting. The first-hand learning required to do this takes place through the virtual application workshops, held monthly. This autumn, there has been close to 50 Finnish organisations following each workshop.

During the three-year programme period, the Global Gateway campaign was also launched, and Finnpartnership joined the national plan for reconstruction of Ukraine. In these both, targets were also exceeded. Already twenty Finnish companies have been guided towards EU funding and investments. Some have already received additional funding, but most are waiting for decisions. By the end of the year, some 40 projects of Finnish companies are already underway in Ukraine. This was made possible as the national plan for reconstruction funds were opened due to demand to Finnish companies in 2024, more than the original timetable would have allowed.
