Connecting Vietnamese and Finnish companies for imports to Finland

02.11.2023

Finnpartnership and Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), in collaboration with the Embassy of Finland in Vietnam, organised an online event on food and home decor exports from Vietnam to Finland on 22 September.

The session attracted around 100 participants and included a presentation on Finnish market regulations for agricultural products by Hentriikka Kontio, Counsellor, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland. Saku Pitkänen, Senior Business Consultant, New Zera Ltd shared information on the Finnish food retail sector, and the trends in the Finnish handicraft market were presented by Anna Suoheimo, Director, Sera Helsinki.

As always, the primary ambition of the event was to connect Finnish and Vietnamese companies with initial mutual traction. The session included 10 Finnish companies and the event led to Finnpartnership making close to 50 individual introductions between Finnish and Vietnamese companies for more detailed discussions to map the potential for cooperation.

Finnpartnership would like to thank all event participants, the expert speakers as well as the organising partner VIETRADE and Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director General together with his team.
