A multinational technology company stemming from Pakistan seeks Finnish partners
Pakistan is host to a growing number of home-grown companies that have achieved international success, and who have great capacity and interest in deepening cooperation with Finnish organisations. An example of such a story is the multinational technology company with Pakistani roots called Wavetec.
Wavetec, founded in 1987, provides various solutions to enable the digital transformation, such as queue management and feedback systems including WhatsApp appointments and queuing, self-service kiosks, and digital signage. The company has also expanded its operations into for example electric vehicles and simulators. Wavetec has customers in 70 countries and offices in nine countries around the world. Their head office is in Dubai, with R&D, product development and manufacturing taking place mainly in Pakistan.
Finnpartnership met representatives of Wavetec in Karachi, and they are interested in beginning cooperation with Finnish companies and education providers. Wavetec has established local product and software development know-how in Pakistan, and areas of cooperation could include product development, quality management, or improvement of staff know-how and educational initiatives. Wavetec is also interested in partnerships and sales in the Finnish market, expanding in the European region.
Interested Finnish companies and education providers are encouraged to contact Finnpartnership directly. We can facilitate direct contacts with Wavetec representatives for discussions on future cooperation.
