SDG Booster workshop brought together almost 200 Vietnamese and Finnish TVET experts
Held on 29 November, SDG Booster workshop promoted partnerships between Finnish and Vietnamese organisations working in the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector. More than 180 participants from more than 60 organisations had lively and result-oriented discussions in three thematic areas: Green jobs, Work-life collaboration and Teacher training. Some main themes and opportunities commonly raised among these groups were curriculum development, edtech, upskilling and reskilling for teachers and workers, and establishment of joint programmes for exchange.
Finnpartnership organised the virtual event in collaboration with Finland’s Embassy in Vietnam, Vietnam Association for Vocational Education and Training & Social Work (VAVET), Finnish National Agency for Education (OPH), and with distinguished guests from GIZ, EU, Oppiva Invest and EduCluster Finland. Currently, there are programmes in Vietnam to promote TVET, financed by EU Delegation, GIZ, GGGI and other financial institutions.
The first workshop will be followed by a second workshop on 16 January 2024. In the second session, the participants will discuss concrete collaboration opportunities within the thematic areas and formulate joint projects. Additionally, participants will learn about relevant financial instruments for the projects.
Finnpartnership encourages companies and organisations that joined the first workshop to fully participate in the second one to continue the discussion resulted from the first session. Organisations interested in any of the opportunities identified in the first session can visit the Miro board to mark their interests and if needed, contact Finnpartnership to connect with relevant partners.
