Connecting Finnish smart hospital expertise with opportunities in Vietnam
On 2 October, Finnpartnership, the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi and E Hospital brought together healthcare stakeholders to explore how Finnish experience in smart hospitals and digital health can contribute to Vietnam’s ongoing digital transformation.
The event brought together E Hospital and its local branches, Phong Tho General Hospital and Hoa Muong General Hospital from Lai Chau, Vietnamese health-tech company ISOFH, and Finnish smart hospital experts from the Integrated Hospital Design Alliance (IHDA).
Finnish experts from IHDA shared practical experience on intelligent hospital design, connected data, patient flow, capacity management and digital solutions that can improve hospital operations and patient care. On the Vietnamese side, E Hospital presented its digital transformation journey towards a smart hospital model, while ISOFH shared perspectives on digital transformation in Vietnamese hospitals and potential areas for collaboration based on Finnish digital health experience.
Together, the presentations and discussion helped connect Finnish expertise and solutions with the realities, priorities and emerging needs of Vietnam’s healthcare sector and identify areas where these could translate into concrete collaboration opportunities in the coming time.
We hope the connections made through this event will lead to further collaboration. If these discussions develop into concrete opportunities, Finnpartnership and the Embassy of Finland look forward to building on this initiative with a larger, national-level event next year, bringing together more Vietnamese healthcare stakeholders and Finnish companies and experts.
