Towards a green transition in rebuilding Ukraine
The ongoing war in Ukraine is expected to exacerbate the effects of climate change, which could increase the frequency and severity of natural disasters in the region.
Developing Markets Platform at Business Finland, in collaboration with Savonia University of Applied Sciences and the Finnish Ministry of the Interior, is organising a full-day event that includes a seminar and workshop, which aim to explore novel business models, Research & Development, and innovative solutions that align with sustainable development goals and follow the principle that no-one is left behind according to Agenda 2030. These solutions, which can be called as innovations for humanitarian needs, will aid in the recovery of Ukraine’s society while promoting the country’s green transition. The event also provides a platform for companies and research and development organisations to collaborate and exchange ideas.
This event is part of a forthcoming series of events related to the green transition in terms of humanitarian crises related sustainable business in rebuilding Ukraine. Additionally, it is a part of the Finnish Presidency Year of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS).
