Project descriptionWaste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Centre (WEEE Centre), established in 2012 is based in Nairobi, Kenya and currently employs 40 persons.
The company offers services of awareness creation (training) and safe disposal of electrical and electronic waste (e-Waste). The company just completed the first phase of the e-waste curriculum pilot for 200 students from 5 institutions on electronic waste, first of its kind. They also operate in data destruction, training and awareness creation. WEEE has ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 certifications.
The customers so far have been Carrefour, RDC, Oracle, American Embassy Nairobi, Kenyan government, Safaricom, Samsung, IBM, etc.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Centre is currently looking for a partner to develop projects in the circular economy and e-waste sectors as well as refineries/ e-waste companies looking to import Printed Circuit Boards from Africa.
