Project descriptionThe company established in 2018 is based in Brazil and currently employs 4 persons and a number of temporary workers.
The company’s main products include high quality coffee (C. Arabica) which scored 82 – 90 points in SCA (The Specialty Coffee Association). The company export their own coffee and trade also coffee from small producers (Women Association of Mantiqueira de Minas). The coffee’s region is considered the ‘Guatemala of Brazilian coffee’. The territory is very hilly, which makes mechanization impossible. The coffee is 100% hand-picked and the work are done with producers that yields 200/300 bags of coffee per crop. The company was awarded by the Agribusiness Brazil 2018 on the innovative Management, recognized for innovations in good agricultural practices with respect to the pillars of sustainability in economic, social and environmental aspects.
Café Condado have experience and expertise in exporting excellent coffee to US; Hong Kong and Europe. The company have successfully created ties with international companies in Norway (Cemo AS), UK (Origin Coffee Roaster), Belgium (Preko Roasters, São Paulo Roasters), Hong Kong (Alchemy Roasters), US (Coffee Commission and this year Sweet Marias and possibly De La Finca). According to the company their coffee taste is unique and is considered one of the best coffees in Brazil. The ‘Cup of Excellence’ is one of the most respected competition and auction for high quality coffees in the world has awarded high points to the coffee that come from this particular hilly area. Many of the partners producers from the Company have Rain Forest certification and all of the Women producers have the local Amecafé Certification.
The company is searching for importers, roasters, chain of supermarkets or ‘white label coffees’ that are willing to purchase/represent coffees that come from direct trade and remunerate better the producers (only small producers or women producers).
