Project abstractEmeden Kenya Farmers , a Kenyan company that has been developing a web-based and mobile platform to support local farmers is searching for Finnish joint venture partners (30 to 40% share) with a web-based and mobile platform development experience.
Project descriptionEmeden Kenya Farmers, established in 2015 is based in Nairobi (Rift Valley), Kenya and currently employs 5 persons.
The company has been developing a web-based and mobile platform that helps to connect all stakeholders in the agriculture value chain. The idea is that the contracted farmers on the Online Platform can get connected with other farmers and use their numbers for leverage in the marketplace while there is also better traceability of the food from consumers perspective. The platform is also intended to support the farmers in training and developing technical skills related to sustainable practices.
The customers so far have been local smallholder traders and food consumers.
Emeden Kenya Farmers is currently looking for a Finnish joint venture partner that has specifically web and software development experience. The prospective JV partner could expect to own at between 30 to 40% of Emeden share.
