Project abstractCSET Seed Production & Agriculture Research Ltd., Somalian social enterprise operating in agriculture, livestock, forestry and fishery is searching for Finnish investors and companies with technology, know-how and machinery to scale-up activities.
Project descriptionCSET Seed Production & Agriculture Research Ltd., established in 2016 is based in Mogadishu, Somalia and currently employs 13 people.
CSET is a social enterprise that operates in the fishery and agriculture. They are formed by a group of professionals with an objective of providing appropriate seed solutions to Somali farmers. CSET's aim is to revolutionize the provision of farming and fishery services by creating a more sustainable service delivery model. The social enterprise provides consultancy support as well as training to farmers. The farming community operating in collaboration with CSET produces e.g. maize and sorghum beans, sesame and ground nuts among other agricultural products.
The social enterprise is currently working with the government and development agencies such as USAID and CARE International to strengthen existing farmer and fishery service providers across Somalia to enable them to have a more sustainable service delivery.
CSET is looking for well established Finnish companies from agriculture sector interested in investing and sharing best practices, knowledge, machinery and know how a to scale-up the agricultural activities in collaboration with CSET in Somalia.
