Project description

The company, established in 1934 is based in Lima, Peru and currently employs over 1400 persons.

The company’s main products include fabric, garments and yarn. Creditex’s fabrics and finishing plant annually manufactures about nine million meters of fine cotton fabrics, which are divided in two lines: decorations and clothing. For the latter, the company produces fine fabrics for shirts and sport clothing as well as fabrics for trousers. The company also annually produces ten thousand tons of cotton yarns of different varieties: combed and carded Pima cotton (extra-long staple), Tangüis cotton (long staple) and upland cotton. Creditex can offer full packages, i.e. finished garments and the company has e.g. ISO 9001-2000, OECOTEX, UKAS, ANAB, WRAP, BASC certificates.

The customers so far have been from the United States (LL Bean, Tommy Bahama, Cabela’s etc.), South America (La Martina, Etiqueta Negra, Penquin, Wrangler, Lee) and Europe (e.g. Marimekko, Lacoste).

The company is currently looking for a partner to buy ‘full package’ apparel products, guaranteed from the crop of the cotton to the manufacturing of the garments.
