SDG Booster – Connecting Finnish and Vietnamese organisations in the TVET sector

Join the SDG Booster workshops, focusing on Vietnam’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector and link with Team Europe programmes!
Organised virtually on 29 November and 16 January, the two digital workshops aim to connect Finnish and Vietnamese companies and key stakeholders in TVET. The workshops will focus on three main areas: 1) green jobs, 2) work-life collaboration and migration, and 3) teacher training and certifications, with Edtech as a cross-cutting theme. The participants get to establish new partnerships, jointly develop solutions for the thematic areas, and formulate projects for funding from Finnpartnership and other financiers, and development partners of Team Europe in Vietnam.
The event is organised by Finnpartnership in collaboration with Finnish National Agency for Education (OPH), Vietnam Association for Vocational Education and Training & Social Work (VAVET), and Finland’s Embassy in Vietnam.
1st workshop: Introduction of the three focus areas and participants
Time: 29 November 2023, at 9:00-12:00 Finnish time and 14:00-17:00 Vietnam time
The first workshop includes information on the identified market needs in Vietnam as well as support and funding for education sector projects. All participating companies and organisations will also have an opportunity to present their offering and expertise, as well as possible projects and partnerships of interest.
2nd workshop: Formulating projects
Time: 16 January 2024, at 9:00-10:30 Finnish time and 14:00-15:30 Vietnam time
New projects are formulated within the groups: 1) green jobs, 2) work-life collaboration and migration, and 3) teacher training and certifications, with Edtech as a cross-cutting theme.
Participants are expected to join both workshops. They will be held online via Zoom in English, with simultaneous Vietnamese translation.
