Renewed Finnpartnership Application workshop offered a comprehensive information package about doing business in developing countries

The first Finnpartnership Application Workshop of the year was organized on January 18th 2018 with a renewed concept. The day started with the introduction of Business Partnership Support and the Matchmaking service. Sustainable development goals, which are a crucial part of Finnpartnership’s work, were also introduced. You can read more about Business Partnership Support here.

 

The NGO presentation was held by Finnish SOmali Business Council’s (FSBC) Yusuf M. Mubarak. FSBC aims to improve business cooperation and relations between Finland and Somalia and Finnish and Somali companies. In addition, the FSBC aims to promote free market economy in Somalia and support Somali entrepreneurs and companies to find best practices in business. Mubarak also introduced Finnpartnership’s new Somalia Pilot group.

 

In the afternoon, Sara Lindeman from Leapfrog Projects discussed the role of sustainable development in building business partnerships. At the end of the presentation, the participants had the chance to reflect their own company’s/organization’s operations in the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The day was concluded with Tatu Lyytinen’s presentation about different international funding instruments that are available for companies.
