Enhancing trade relations between Ghana and Finland

7.10.2022

During 19-21 September, 2022, a delegation from Ghana (comprising both the public and private sectors) visited Finland to showcase the country’s business potential and to pursue bilateral trade and investment opportunities. The delegation visit was part of a wider business mission to the Nordic Countries, representing sectors such as ICT, construction, Health, Energy, Waste Management, Agriculture and Education. The mission was coordinated by the Ghanian Embassy in Oslo, in collaboration with the Foreign Ministry of Finland, Business Finland, and Finnpartnership.

As part of the visit, a Business Forum and Networking Event was held at Marina Congress Centre in Helsinki on 20 September. The successful Business Forum drew some 120 attendees with dozens of Finnish companies wanting to learn about the Ghanian business environment and seeking partnership opportunities.

Ghana has become an increasingly important market for Finnish companies, thanks to the country’s political stability, safety, English language and business friendly environment. Finnpartnership is currently funding projects in Ghana, such as Aqsens Health which is on the path to improving malaria screening and diagnostics tests. Read more here.
