Finnpartnership and BioFISA II organized a Matchmaking meeting on Thursday 29 November, which brought together companies from Finland, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The companies present were mainly from the food and cosmetics sectors and the meeting resulted in lively networking between the companies.
During the meeting, Finnpartnership presented its Matchmaking service as well as how Business Partnership Support can be utilised for importing from the developing countries. The companies from Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa also had the chance to present their company and products to Finnish companies during the meeting. The African companies present were: Maungo Craft (Botswana, naturally low sugar/ sugarfree gourmet jam products), Blue Pride (Botswana, Marula tree oil for cosmetics), Hutano Foods (Zimbabwe, snack, porridges and breakfast cereals from local Zimbabwean ingredients), Veranger Ltd (Zimbabwe, vegetarian sausages), Parceval (South-Africa, producing herbal teas) and Synmba/ Niselo (South-Africa, functional symbiotic sorghum-based beverages).
All the above-mentioned companies are looking for Finnish companies to partner with.
