Egypt provides opportunities for Finnish waste, water and energy companies – Finnpartnership’s seminar in Cairo opened doors for cooperation
7.5.2019
In Egypt, ongoing massive construction projects provide opportunities for Finnish companies in water, waste and energy sectors – but making the right connections is essential.
The nationally and internationally funded projects that are currently underway require solutions for water and waste treatment as well as access to clean water and energy, among other issues. The Doing Business with Finland seminar in Cairo by Finnpartnership, Alexandria Business Association, the Finnish Embassy and Finnish Water Forum brought together companies and other key stakeholders to exchange information and open business discussions.
The audience were given detailed presentations on Egypt’s water and waste sectors as well as Finland’s high level of technology and know-how which could be extremely useful in Egypt. The audience were also provided information on Finland and its business environment, exporting to Finland and Finnpartnership services that can help in getting business started between Egypt and Finland.
The discussions initiated in the seminar have already led to concrete cooperation plans which are currently taken forward. However, there are lots of opportunities for an even wider range of Finnish technology and know-how. Finnish companies in water, waste and energy sectors are warmly recommended to get in touch with Finnpartnership’s Birgit Nevala or Patrik Bredbacka who can open connections to key persons and organizations in Egypt.

Finnpartnership would like to thank all participants and its partners for a great seminar!
