Direct connection between women entrepreneurs in developing countries and in Finland took its first step
3 June 2021
A new partnership between Finnpartnership and the Women Entrepreneurs of Finland was officially launched at an info webinar organized on May 25th. The webinar brought together 40 participants to learn about the services Finnpartnership and the Women Entrepreneurs of Finland can offer. In addition, Finnish women entrepreneurs will receive a questionnaire during the summer, where their interest in doing business in the developing countries will be mapped out. The cooperation with women entrepreneurs in the developing countries will also be developed further in collaboration with ITC’s SheTrades initiative.
As a concrete measure this year, a digital matchmaking seminar focusing on Sri Lanka and Pakistan will be arranged on October 7th. The info webinar in May laid the groundwork for the upcoming seminar with a brief introduction to Sri Lanka and Pakistan by Ambassador Harri Kämäräinen and greetings from two local women entrepreneurs, Zara Mandviwalla Akbarally and Shaista Ayesha, introduced by Honorary Consul General Wille Eerola.
Stay tuned for the possibilities for women entrepreneurs by following our website and newsletter! Finnpartnership offers the possibility both to improve the world and make profitable business.
