Develop digital commercial solutions for the sustainable development goals with Finnpartnership, UNTIL, Fingo and Business Finland at our SDG Booster workshops!



Starting in early 2020, the brand-new SDG Boosters will bring together companies, NGOs, financial instruments and thematic experts to develop solutions and projects to address concrete needs identified from developing countries. The goal of the SDG Booster is to accelerate progress to the Sustainable Development Goals through the creation and implementation of innovative digital technology projects. Each SDG booster is comprised of two workshops around a thematic topic and a geographical region.

Starting with data collected on actual needs, we will co-create solutions, projects and consortia to address local challenges and create business with impact. The workshops will be facilitated by leading experts together with Finnpartnership, UNTIL, Fingo and Business Finland. Participants can then join Finnpartnership for a visit to the region to present and offer their solutions to the local stakeholders.

The themes and preliminary times of the four SDG Boosters in 2020 are:

SDG Booster 1: Geospatial technologies and GIS Solutions for IGAD countries / January 23rd and February 6th 2020, with a visit to Kampala for an international event (March 25th). For more info on the visit to Kampala, please contact Juho Korkiakoski (

SDG Booster 2: Circular economy solutions (especially waste-to-energy, including plastic waste) in Vietnam, Thailand and Nigeria, followed by a visit to the countries and other activities later in 2020. N.B. the SDG Booster workshops have been rescheduled to a later date in 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation.
