A success story - Textile importer Helmivene’s productive visit to Peru

Finnpartnership’s Matchmaking visit to Peru was a profitable experience for Helmivene Oy, a Finnish company selling alpaca products. It helped to establish contacts for direct importing of wool products to Finland.

Helmivene manufactures and sells hand-bound books as well as products made of alpaca wool. The company was founded by Virpi and Lasse Grönroos in 2007 and is located in Parainen. Most of its alpaca woollen scarves, ponchos and yarn originate from Peru. The materials used in products made by Helmivene may originate locally in the future; there are 15 alpacas grazing in the Grönroos’s own pasture. Read more...

Finnpartnership offers financial support for business initiatives in Asia, Africa and Latin America

Business Partnership Support is financial support for Finnish companies and other organisations. Companies can apply for a grant type of financial support through the Business Partnership Support Facility for the feasibility, planning and implementation phases of commercially viable activities aimed at economic cooperation in developing countries.

The Business Partnership Support covers 30-70 % of the budgeted approved and incurred expenses depending on the size of the applicant company (SME/large) and the development status of the project target country. The maximum amount of Business Partnership Support is 200 000 euros. Read more...
